In order to promote economic cooperation between France and North Rhine-Westphalia, La French Tech Düsseldorf will be launched on March 1st, 2023, on the occasion of the Euroshop

Düsseldorf, 16/02/2023 – Labeling of French Tech capitals and communities has been announced by Jean-Noël Barrot, French Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications. La French Tech Düsseldorf, a community of entrepreneurs and professionals committed to strengthening cooperation between France and the NRW region, is among them. Their project for the 3-year term will be presented at the Euroshop in Düsseldorf on March 1st during a cocktail party organized by the French government agency Business France.

We are looking forward to contributing to the promotion of the NRW region on the one hand, and French technology on the other. The economy of North Rhine-Westphalia is highly developed, diversified and open to the world. North Rhine-Westphalia's GDP is the highest of all German Länder. To achieve a strong European foothold, it is essential for French technologies to know the specificities of the NRW region in order to develop there.Adrien Serres, Founder & Co-President of La French Tech Düsseldorf

A group of 7 French or Francophile professionals with ties to the NRW region have volunteered to lead a French Tech community in Düsseldorf. Their objective is to support French companies in their development in the region. They also want to help German companies develop in France, and to create connections between startups, large companies, associations and institutions.

Given these ambitions, the group submitted an application to the Mission French Tech, a French government organization promoting Technologies, to be labeled as a French Tech Community, supported by the city of Düsseldorf, the region North Rhine-Westphalia, and local companies. After examination, the application was accepted, making La French Tech Düsseldorf the 3rd French Tech community in Germany, after Berlin and Munich.
