L’Oréal DACH and La French Tech Düsseldorf launch partnership
Düsseldorf, November 6, 2024 –
Cosmetics company L’Oréal DACH and the Franco-German network La French Tech Düsseldorf have announced a new partnership to expand their networks and drive innovation and inclusion within the technology sector. La French Tech, a French government initiative, promotes and supports the growth of the French tech industry. As the only network of its kind in the Düsseldorf area, it acts as a bridge between French companies, startups, and other actors in the local innovation ecosystem.
The collaboration kicked off in late October with a joint event focused on women in technology. Both organizations are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the digital sector. L’Oréal, a global leader in the cosmetics industry, and La French Tech Düsseldorf, a dynamic network of startups, investors, and decision-makers in North Rhine-Westphalia, will implement initiatives to support women in tech careers. These initiatives will include mentoring programs, workshops, and networking events.
"We are thrilled about this new partnership." Arooj Humayun, Chief Information Officer of L’Oréal DACH
“L’Oréal’s commitment extends beyond its French roots to encompass Beauty Tech and Women in Tech, driving innovation, fostering growth, and creating an inclusive beauty world. We believe Düsseldorf’s central location in the heart of Europe makes it a strategically important location for tech companies.” The partnership with La French Tech is particularly significant regarding women in technology, Humayun adds: “We are convinced that promoting women in tech is crucial not only for the sector itself, but also for society as a whole. Diverse teams deliver the best results!”
La French Tech Düsseldorf focuses on innovative areas such as digital supply chains, retail-tech, customer experience, innovation, green tech, entrepreneurship, and e-commerce. Düsseldorf has traditionally been a key location for trade and logistics, and the board members of La French Tech Düsseldorf are strongly involved in these areas.
Adrien Serres, Co-President and Founder of La French Tech, adds: “The partnership with L’Oréal is an important step in expanding the Franco-German network in Düsseldorf and collaborating on technology issues. We are delighted to welcome the L’Oréal team to our group.”
